Mahjong is an ancient Chinese game, and during this course we will be learning the Western Version of the game.
Mahjong is an ancient Chinese game, and during this course we will be learning the Western Version of the game. We will play hands from "The MahJong Player's Companion" by Patricia A Thompson and Betty Maloney as well as by the rules from their book "The Game of MahJong Illustrated". Handouts of the basic rules will be provided,, you will learn how to play the game, recognize the tiles, symbols, terms and rules plus more will be explained."

Sophia's strong interest in learning Mah-Jong has fueled her excitement.
Unaware that she had joined an advanced class, the tutor urged her to
participate without speaking, which presented a challenge. Nevertheless,
Sophia wholeheartedly embraced the game and found it both rewarding
and demanding. She firmly believes that the most important element in
the recipe of Mah-Jong is undoubtedly fun.
