08 July 2025 The Rapper’s Revelation: Jew-Hatred or Love of Anarchy?
The call “Death to the IDF” angered even the anti-Semites. You see, they too get angry when the ideological proximity between hatred of Jews and love of anarchy and violence is exposed.
Who? Bob Dylan? No – Bob Vylan! Until this week I had never heard of this obscure rap duo, whose stage name rhymes with the Nobel Prize-winning Jewish musician. But now they’ve burst forth, riding the broomstick of antisemitism, into the news headlines. At the world’s largest music festival, in the British town of Glastonbury, the band’s lead singer, Pascall Robinson Foster, called out the modern jihad cry: “Free Palestine from the river to the sea.” Fearing his artistry wasn’t clear enough, he also offered his followers a new phrase of his own creation: “Death to the IDF.” The crowd joined in with rhythmic barks.
All this abomination was broadcast live on BBC, and the artist himself explained afterward: “We are violent, we convey a message through violence. There are people who only understand this way!” (and I add: thanks for the explanation that teaches us who you are).
For a brief moment, the kingdom was in uproar. It’s not every day you see such a heated display of hatred disguised as art. Even the BBC, which chose to continue broadcasting the incitement, was later forced to add another weak self-condemnation to its apology archive, and only the Trump administration, as usual, responded with action and revoked the American visas of the inciting duo.
But let’s calm down. This actually didn’t really upset me! This is exactly how antisemitism should be – violent, crude, foolish. I have no patience for the “righteous among the nations” anti-Semite who comes in a cultural, learned, and seemingly humane and moral mask. I prefer when they speak clearly and don’t beat around the bush about “the suffering of the Palestinian people” and such. I prefer when they reveal in the first act what’s planned for the third act. And I also prefer the direct call “Death to the IDF” over Macron’s doctrine, which permits Israel to defend itself but imposes an embargo at the moment of truth. Here comes the artist, expressing with full mouth what leaders in Ireland, Spain, or Australia hint at through sophisticated statements: The IDF – the last defenders of the Jews against annihilation – must die! And anyone who agrees – keep quiet and don’t interfere!
This didn’t work out so well for the rapper. Because the IDF, whose death he wishes for, fights terror and the Iranian threat on behalf of the entire world. Behind it stand the armies of America, Germany, and England – which hosts the festival of hatred – and to kill the IDF means to kill its helpers and supporters too. Moreover: Western countries, most of them, from Greece to Sweden, from Azerbaijan to Spain -benefit from Israeli weapons. So the death of the IDF heralds a significant weakening of the entire free world axis. So, what do we do with all these dreams, and where will the world end up if they come true?
Well, now… the rapper didn’t really think everything through to the end. He simply wanted to endear himself to the crowd through incitement to murder Jews. What’s the big deal? The world’s finest leaders do this. Except his incitement work, which would have been received with understanding had he only kept to the rules of the “pro-Palestinian” ceremony – exposed antisemitism in its nakedness and aroused the wrath of the anti-Semites themselves.
They always told us that “antisemitism is hating Jews more than necessary.” But now, the anti-Semitic demon takes a different form – that of a world-hater. The rapper too, in his creation, managed to convey a message: it’s not peace, justice, and stability that Hamas supporters of all kinds seek, nor is it the suffering of an innocent people that motivates them. These terror supporters yearn for global anarchy, hatred and murder in the streets – first the Jews and then we’ll see. They create a connection between antisemitism and violence, between hatred of Jews and hatred of public order. They will forever remain pro-Hamas inciters, who even in a world without a single Jew – would be driven by lust for chaos. They hope to see the calls for murdering Jews realized in deeds, and today’s “Death to the IDF” is tomorrow’s bloody riots in European capitals. What can you do, they’ll say, there are those who only understand violence.
